Vera Seedorf

Vera Seedorf was born in Germany in 1994.

She studied at Musikhochschule Lübeck with Professor Johannes Fischer. In 2020 she completed her Masters degree with best score.

Vera became interested in contemporary music very early. At the age of 16 she was already member of Studio musikFabrik, the youth ensemlble or contemporary music of North Rhine-Westphalia. 

She was also part of the ensemble of the International Ensemble Modern Academy 2018/19 and spent a year working intensively on contemporary chamber music literature.

Vera actively participated in numerous festivals and academies of contemporary music, such as „Now!“ in the Essen Philharmony, Ruhrtriennale, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, Two Days & Two Nights of New Music Odessa and Impuls Akademie Graz.

In this context she has worked with renowned composers and conductors such as Enno Poppe, Bryan Ferneyhough, George Benjamin and Ilan Volkov and percussionists such as Dirk Rothbrust, Christian Dierstein and Hakon Stene. 

She is actively involved as a percussionist in various ensemble and orchestra projects, particularly in the field of contemporary music, such as the notabu.ensemble neue musik, and works as a teacher for drums and percussion at the Radevormwalder Musikschule.
